My grandma always told me never to skimp on two things: sheets and underwear. Sheets are something we spend a lot of time with; our skin is in contact with night after night. You want to make sure your sheets are comfortable and will last you awhile. And remember, bed sheets (and pillow cases!) should be washed every week—two weeks at the max.
For real outdoorsy, manly men (like Jeff on our team) you can go a month without washing if you buy the industrial bottles of Febreze. Just kidding. You should be washing them regularly. And, we have no concerns with their durability here—so long as you follow the care instructions on the label.
Your new Brooklyn Bedding sheets will ship to you completely free. From the day you receive them at your doorstep, you’ll have a 30-day trial period to really test them out. If within those first thirty days you decide these aren’t the sheets for you, you can return them for a full refund.
Brooklyn Bedding will cover your shipping costs to send them back to the company. Don’t get all willy nilly ordering and returning their products, though, because Brooklyn Bedding states that the trial period can only be used once per customer, per year.
If you keep your Brooklyn Bedding sheets around, they will be covered by a 1-year full replacement warranty that covers any defects in the material.
These Brushed Microfiber sheets are available in a full range of sizes, including twin XL and Cal king. They can also fit mattresses that are up to 14” deep, but don’t offer any deeper sizes for extra thick beds or beds that have toppers.
These sheets can be washed same as any. Just throw them in your washing machine with the rest of your bedding and some detergent. We have the sage green sheets, so we don’t bleach them, but we don’t actually recommend you use bleach on white sheets, either. Check out this article for our tips on keeping your bed sheets white. Anyway, you can put them in the dryer or hang them up to dry, whatever you prefer.
The Brushed Microfiber sheets are made with 100% polyester microfiber, so they don’t have a thread count. Polyester is a popular alternative material to cotton because it’s cheaper to use, durable, and easy to care for. They also don’t pill or wrinkle as easily as other sheets. Polyester isn’t very breathable or known for being incredibly soft, though.
As for the feel of these sheets, we can definitely say they’re comfortable. They’re not the softest sheets in the world, but they’re not harsh and scratchy either. They feel thick and durable, which is a typical characteristic of polyester. Brooklyn Bedding describes them as “silky smooth,” which we don’t actually agree with. They’re not the smoothest sheets we’ve ever felt, and they’re definitely not silky. Again, this isn’t to say they’re not comfortable, because they are.
We recommend them during the fall and winter seasons when things start to get cold, and you want your sheets be feel thicker and cozy, and to trap your body warmth.
These sheets are priced affordably considering their quality. They cost about $50 for a queen size set, which includes two pillow cases, one fitted sheet, and a flat sheet. We think this is a little bit more on the expensive side for polyester, considering you can get microfiber sheets for pretty cheap on Amazon, but like we said before, don’t skimp on good quality sheets.
|King / Cal King||$60|
Brooklyn Bedding is a trusted brand, and just because they used polyester doesn’t mean the materials are not good quality.
These are some great sheets that are high quality, durable, and comfortable.
They’re not the most breathable sheets in the world, so they won’t cool you down, but we’re okay with that. These sheets are best for children and teens, as an extra set of sheets for the colder months, or if you’re looking for sheets that are low maintenance and wrinkle resistant.
They’re not going to be the best sheets for those with very sensitive skin or really hot sleepers who want to cool off while they sleep.
If you’re looking for some typical, low maintenance sheets that will keep you comfortable, these are a great option.
