Purple Sheets Review
The internet loves the Purple Mattress, but how good are their Purple SoftStretch Sheets? Find out in our detailed review.
Last Updated: September 24, 2020
We’ve tested many different products from Purple, and now we’re here to share our thoughts on the brand’s sheet sets -- are they as popular among the team as their beds are? In this review, we discuss everything from the price of Purple’s sheets, feel, special features, who they may and may not be best for, and much more.
Purple Bed Sheets Review
You might be familiar with the Purple brand — or their playful and funny commercials like my personal favorite (SY member McKenzie Dillon), the Sasquatch mom. They’ve taken the online mattress world by storm thanks to their unique Hyper-Elastic Polymer material, and have since expanded into making bedding products like sheet sets as well.

If you don’t know about the Purple Mattress, feel free to read up on our in-depth review where we discuss all of the juicy details. Otherwise, continue on below to see how our team liked the brand’s Purple SoftStretch Sheets.
Purple Sheet Prices
At the time we’re writing this review, the SoftStretch sheets are the brand’s newest offering and their premium-tier sheet option. Though, with that being said, they aren’t as expensive as luxury sheets like Boll and Branch or Brooklinen. So we’re impressed to see Purple offer premium sheets as these for a reasonable price.
Size | Price |
---|---|
Twin / Twin XL | $89 |
Full / Full XL / Queen | $99 |
King / Cal King | $119 |
Split King | $119 |
Prices start right under $90, and end around $120 for a king or split king sheet set.
Does Purple Offer Discounts?
You may not always see huge discount offerings going on for these sheets, except for maybe holidays like Labor Day and Black Friday. However, they may offer deals like buy one pair, get one 10%. We suggest you check out their site to stay most up-to-date on Purple promotions!
Purple Sheet Materials
On Purple’s website they claim that these sheets are designed to compliment your Purple Mattress perfectly, which they do. However, we want to note that they’re still very comfortable on beds that aren’t from Purple.

These SoftStretch sheets are, in true Purple fashion, fairly unique and we can’t say we’ve seen many brands construct their sheets like Purple has.
SoftStretch Materials:
- 67% Rayon from Bamboo Viscose
- 23% Polyester
- 10% Spandex
These sheets also have a seamless design, and stay put on the mattress because they utilize “industrial elastic.” If you’re somebody who loves the look of wrinkle-less sheets on your mattress, these definitely provide that look.
The Feel Of SoftStretch Sheets
Now that you know what they’re made of, let’s dive deeper into how these sheets feel. Since online shoppers aren’t able to touch and feel these sheets themselves, we try to do our best to explain it to you.
For starters, these sheets are called “SoftStretch” for a reason, because these babies can stretch. As Owen describes them, who sleeps on them every night, they’re like “stretchy jersey fabric.” But a very breathable, moisture-wicking jersey material. And while these sheets don’t technically contain Purple’s Hyper-Elastic Polymer material, you still get a stretchy and durable feel that’s very reminiscent of it.

Overall, Purple’s SoftStretch sheets have a luxury feel that’s smooth, soft-to-the-touch, and very comfortable to sleep on. You can tell they’re premium sheets upon first touch, although they are nothing like cotton or linen.
We can also see people who sleep hot really loving the breathability of these sheets; combined with the Purple Mattress, you’d have the ultimate cooling bedtime set-up.

Purple Sheets Review Verdict
After everything is said and done, how would we rank the Purple SoftStretch Sheets? If you’re in the market for a pair of sheets that have a smooth, breathable feel that is unlike your traditional jersey or cotton set, we say go for it. As a hot sleeper myself, I was impressed with these sheets — and Owen, our resident Purple lover, is also a big fan. Besides, you do have a 30-day trial window where you can return your sheets if you aren’t satisfied with them.

They’re soft without retaining heat, and they’re smooth without being silky. They also have a fairly affordable price tag. If you’re somebody who’s looking for sheets that are more wallet-friendly, check out our review on the Tuft and Needle sheets.
