Tempur-Cloud Mattress

If you want the efficiency of a bed-in-a-box mattress with the reliability and quality of a Tempur-Pedic mattress, the Tempur-Cloud is the way to go. You get the fan-favorite memory foam feel but at a fraction of the price of their other beds.

Tempur-Cloud design and construction

The Tempur-Pedic Cloud mattress is a standard 10” thick and stacked three foam layers.

  • The first layer is a thick layer of dense foam to support the remaining layers (and your body)
  • The second layer is meant to soften up the dense slab of foam in the base
  • The third layer is the Tempur Comfort layer, which provides their signature memory foam feel

Feel and firmness

The Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Cloud mattress has a memory foam feel that contours to your body. Not kidding; it’s essentially hugging you while you sleep. It’s the feeling that Tempur-Pedic is known for, so if you know, you know.

We rated the Tempur-Cloud bed as around a medium in terms of firmness. This makes it ideal for all sleeper positions of average size. That said, if you’re petite, we only recommend it to back and stomach sleepers.

The Tempur-Cloud might not be supportive enough for some sleepers. Heavy sleepers over 230 lbs might want another Tempur-Pedic model in a hybrid version.

How much is a Tempur-Cloud mattress?

This is the most affordable bed in Tempur-Pedic’s lineup. Prices start at around $1,700 for a twin and go up to about $2,400 for a Cal king. Though, keep an eye out for discounts around holidays!

Tempur-Adapt Mattress Line

In the Tempur-Pedic mattress Adapt line, you have the Tempur-Adapt, the Tempur-ProAdapt, and the Tempur-LuxeAdapt. You can find hybrid and all-foam models here, and they are more affordable than the Breeze options while also providing effective cooling relief.

Tempur-Adapt design and construction

The exact construction of the mattress will depend on the Tempur-Adapt model you choose. Each one is three layers thick, and the base will either be composed of dense foam or steel pocketed coils. They will also each have a Smart Climate Dual cover to help the mattress feel cooler.

  • Tempur-Adapt is available in a hybrid or all-foam model
  • Tempur-ProAdapt is available in a hybrid or all-foam model
  • Tempur-LuxeAdapt is only available in a foam model

Feel and firmness

  • Tempur-Adapt is rated a medium, making it suitable for all sleeper positions.
  • ProAdapt has three firmness options: Soft, Medium, and Firm. This means you can choose the best firmness level according to your sleeping position.
  • LuxeAdapt comes in Soft and Firm. We recommend Soft to side sleepers and Firm to back and stomach sleepers.

How much is a Tempur-Adapt mattress?

Pricing will vary depending on the specific Tempur-Pedic mattress you choose.

  • Tempur-Adapt — Prices start at $1,699 for a twin and go up to $3,389 for a split king
  • ProAdapt — Prices start at $2,499 for a twin and go up to $4,998 for a split CA king
  • LuxeAdapt — Prices start at $3,299 for a twin long and go up to $6,598 for a split CA king

Breeze Tempur-Pedic Bed

tempurpedic mattress review tempur pro breeze

Are you a hot sleeper? Do you want a luxury bed? If so, you’ll like the Breeze Tempur-Pedic mattresses. The ProBreeze bed has a moderate firmness level and suits all body types. We also think the covers on these beds are softer than the Adapt line, and they sleep very coolly.

Design and construction

The ProBreeze is available in foam or hybrid models, while you can only get a foam LuxeBreeze mattress.

  • ProBreeze is 12” thick, while LuxeBreeze is around 13”
  • Both are comprised of four different layers: breathable, perforated TEMPUR-APR foam (or coils), TEMPUR-CM foam to release heat and humidity stuck in the bed, a phase-change layer, and an ultra cooling cover

Firmness and feel

Both the ProBreeze and the LuxeBreeze bed have a traditional memory foam feel you expect from Tempur-Pedic mattresses. You sink into the layers, and they feel like they’re hugging your body, but the foam takes a few moments to activate.

ProBreeze is rated around a medium, while LuxeBreeze is only offered in Soft and Firm. This means that more people can probably sleep on the ProBreeze mattress since it’s right in the middle. Side sleepers should opt for the ProBreeze or the Soft LuxeBreeze mattress. Back and stomach sleepers will be able to sleep on the ProBreeze, but they should opt for the firm model of the LuxeBreeze mattress.

How much is a Breeze Tempur-Pedic mattress?

The Breeze models from Tempur-Pedic are the most expensive beds they have to offer. Honestly, we can’t imagine many people wanting to spend this price. The LuxeBreeze is especially one of the most expensive mattresses we’ve ever tested.

Ultimately, we think it’s so similar to the ProBreeze that it’s not entirely worth the money to us unless you really need its extra cooling capabilities.

  • ProBreeze — Prices start at $3,499 for a twin long mattress and go up to $6,998 for a split CA king
  • LuxeBreeze — Prices start at $4,499 for a twin long and go up to $8,998 for a split CA king

Tempur-Pedic Reviews Verdict

Tempur-Pedic has a lot to offer memory foam lovers, whether you sleep on your side and weigh 105 lbs or you’re an extremely hot-sleeping individual who favors their back. Though, most of the Tempur-Pedic mattresses are expensive.

Their most affordable price is still more expensive than your typical foam bed-in-a-box mattress, so we think you’re also paying a higher price just for the Tempur-Pedic name itself. That said, they are not the most expensive mattresses on the market, especially when you compare it to other beds such as the Beautyrest Black or Purple 4.

If you’re in the market for a very high-quality memory foam mattress that sleeps cooler than the traditional beds, we suggest you give Tempur-Pedic a try! You always have their risk-free trial to fall back on.

  • If you’re a hot sleeper, opt for the ProBreeze or LuxeBreeze mattress.
  • If you’re on a budget but still want a Tempur-Pedic mattress, we suggest the Tempur-Cloud bed
  • If you want to be able to choose your firmness level, go for the ProAdapt mattress
  • If you’re a combo sleeper who wants a dependable mattress, the Tempur-Adapt is your pick.

Is Tempur-Pedic Good For Heavy People?

Yes. Tempur-Pedic beds are suitable mattresses for heavy people, especially if you like memory foam. The springs in the Tempur-Pedic hybrid beds provide great support and ensure that the bed will be more durable than your average online mattress. And, at the risk of stating the obvious, because the Tempur-Pedic mattresses can handle heavier people, it can clearly also take on individuals weighing under 250 lb.

What About Petite To Average Size People?

Petite-sized individuals under 150 lbs will typically find beds to be firmer. So, keep that in mind when you’re trying to find the proper firmness level from Tempur-Pedic. We also recommend either the foam or the hybrid for these body types since both will be perfectly supportive.

Can You Buy A Tempur-Pedic Mattress Online?

All of the Tempur-Pedic Mattresses come with free shipping and a 90-night trial period. Tempur-Cloud will ship in a Tempur-Pedic bag, while the other beds will come with free white glove delivery. Because it was compressed in a box, the Tempur-Cloud could take up to three days to expand.

We know the Tempur-Pedic mattresses are pretty expensive. The good news is, you do have the option of returning it and getting your money back if it doesn’t live up to the hype. After the mattress arrives, you will have 90 nights to make your mind up about it. Three months should be more than long enough to allow your body to adjust to the bed and come to a final conclusion.

Regardless of whether you order through Tempur-Pedic.com or some other vendor, the mattress is backed by a 10-year warranty, which is about the standard length of a warranty for a brand new mattress.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is so good about a Tempur-Pedic mattress?

Tempur-Pedic mattresses are luxury, memory foam beds that hug you while you sleep. The Tempur material of the foam gives the beds really good motion isolation and pressure relief. If you’re looking for luxury, and a true memory foam experience, Tempur-Pedic is your bed.

Are Tempur-Pedic beds worth the money?

Tempur-Pedic has several price points for its line of five beds. We think that the Cloud is probably overpriced for a simple foam mattress, and the Luxe may be overpriced because it doesn’t offer much more in the way of luxury than the other beds. However, we think the ProAdapt is great quality and fairly priced for all that it offers.

Do Tempur-Pedic mattresses sag over time?

Over time, memory foam mattresses do tend to eventually sag. However, that is likely because it was not put on a good foundation. A box spring or adjustable Tempur-Pedic frame will help keep your mattress from sagging.

Is Tempur-Pedic good for side sleepers?

Yes. Most of the beds from Tempur-Pedic should be comfortable to side sleepers. We would like to point out that if you get a “firm” model then it’s designed more for back and stomach sleepers than side sleepers.

Are Tempur-Pedic Mattresses bad for your back?

Tempur-Pedic mattresses are not bad for your back. However, certain models –– like the Tempur-Pedic Hybrid or the ProAdapt Firm –– will give back sleepers more support through the night. You’ll still sink in and get the pressure relief memory foam is known for, but the supportive coils or foam layers will keep your spine aligned.
