For the people who love the TempurPedic mattress brand or their signature dense memory foam feel, but hate the price you typically have to pay for one, the brand has a solution. The Tempur Pedic Cloud mattress is their answer to the bed-in-a-box industry, and it has a fairly affordable price compared to the rest of their models. Plus, it’s the only TempurPedic mattress that gets delivered to you rolled up inside of a box.
In this Cloud mattress review, we break down the types of sleepers who we think will really love this mattress and why you should or shouldn’t buy this bed.

TempurPedic Cloud Bed Feel And Firmness
The Tempur Pedic Cloud mattress has the typical dense/viscous feel that you’d immediately associate with Tempur-Pedic. If you like a deep sink-in sensation, you’ll probably like this bed. You lay on the bed and slowly sink in as it conforms to the shape of your body. Certain people love memory foam (around 22%, according to our research), and others don’t.
Firmness
Tempur Cloud is technically a “medium,” though our editors rate it at a medium-firm. It’s firmer from the start and softens with use, temperature and pressure.
Pressure Relief
It’s not the most pressure-relieving mattress because of its firmer profile. Still, memory foam has a natural tendency to relieve pressure around aching points because it conforms and hugs your body. Though, if you want a really pressure-relieving bed, check out our best plush mattress list.
Temperature
Given that this Tempur-Pedic mattress has standard memory foam and no cooling cover, we expect that it will sleep on the warmer side.
Tempur-Pedic Cloud Mattress Design
The Tempur Cloud mattress is a three-layer foam mattress that measures out to 10” thick. It has a simple design, much like Nectar, Leesa, and many other online bed-in-a-box options.
Bottom
The base of the Cloud bed is made with a thick layer of dense foam. It acts as a foundation to maintain the integrity of the rest of the mattress.
Middle
The center of the bed contains their “Tempur Support Layer”. It is softer than the dense foam below but firmer than the top layer to provide more support for the bed.
Top
The top layer is called the “Tempur Comfort Layer,” and it’s exactly what the name implies. This is where you’ll get a bulk of the bed’s comfort, and it feels like dense conforming memory foam.
Body Type Analysis
Your weight and BMI will play a role in how supportive a mattress is going to be. Below, we break down how accommodating this bed will be based on your body type.
Sleeper Type Analysis
We anticipate that all sleeping positions will be fine on the bed, but this does depend on you.
Is TEMPUR Cloud A Good Mattress For Couples?
Aside from considering your body and sleeper type, couples looking for a new mattress should also take a bed’s motion isolation and edge support into account.
Edge Support
When you sleep with a partner and you’re pushed to the side of the mattress, you don’t want the edge to be flimsy and give easily. The edge support on the TEMPUR-Cloud mattress isn’t phenomenal, but it’s on par with most all-foam beds.
Motion Isolation And Noise
The Cloud mattress from TempurPedic passed the motion isolation test with flying colors, and it virtually makes no noise. The memory foam is excellent at absorbing motion, making it much harder for you to feel your partner tossing and turning during the night.
TempurCloud Mattress Price
We aren’t thrilled with the price of this mattress. We understand that Tempur-Pedic is a premium brand, but we don’t think the Tempur-Cloud is as affordable as it should be, especially relative to the Tempur Adapt, which is only about $200 more.
SIZE | PRICE |
---|---|
Twin | $1699 |
Twin XL | $1699 |
Full | $1899 |
Queen | $1999 |
King | $2399 |
Cal King | $2399 |
Last time we were on Tempur-Pedic’s website, we noticed that the Tempur-Cloud was $2,000 for the queen-size (again $200 less than the Tempur Adapt, which we think is a nicer bed).
So, just on an MSRP basis, we think you should buy the Tempur Adapt over the Tempur-Cloud, but that’s not the whole story. They do run discounts for this mattress, which brings a queen size down to $1,399, which is a heck of a lot more affordable. So, during a discount, we think it’s worth it. Otherwise, we’d check out their base Adapt model.
TempurPedic Tempur Cloud Mattress Review Verdict
TempurPedic is known for its luxury mattresses, and the TEMPUR-Cloud is supposed to be a more affordable entry-level mattress. We think the retail price is a bit steeper than it should be, but if you can catch it during a discount, it may be worth the money for you. If you’re a big memory foam lover and primarily sleep on your back, stomach, or a combination of those positions, this will deliver a true, contouring memory foam feel. It won’t be very suitable for sleepers over 230 lbs, or people looking for a softer mattress.

The mattresses in the Adapt line will come with free white glove delivery, but you’ll have to pay a small fee to return the bed because of the extra time and labor it takes.
The TempurPedic Cloud mattress is the most affordable bed in their catalog. MSRP prices start at $1,699 for a twin and go up to $2,399 for a CA king.
The Cloud mattress from TempurPedic measures out to be 10 inches tall and is constructed using three foam layers.
It’s a good mattress for the right sleeper. If you love dense memory foam, weigh under 230 pounds, and want a mattress with a medium-firm profile, we think it’s an accommodating option.
Most side sleepers will probably want a softer mattress to get more pressure relief. However, side sleepers who switch between their side and another position will be just fine on Tempur Cloud.
That depends on a few factors including the number of people you have sleeping on it and your body weight. In general, a 10-inch foam bed like TempurPedic Cloud should last around eight years.
