ZEEQ Smart Pillow: How It Works
There’s a lot going on with the ZEEQ Smart Pillow. For starters, it can help you stop snoring, track and analyze your sleep, and stream music and audio. It is also smart home compatible through IFTTT to integrate with your smart home, and connects with Amazon Echo for instant sleep reports. Lastly, it has a smart alarm that analyzes your sleep to wake you up at an optimal time in your sleep cycle and a music sleep timer to sing you to sleep.

To be very honest, there were a lot of technical difficulties to endure while first configuring the pillow. We were on the phone with customer service twice just to access the smart features. Make sure that you watch and pay attention to all the video tutorials REM-Fit provides, because there are a lot of finicky steps that need to be taken to set everything up.
ZEEQ also offers other smart pillows that focus on just one smart technology, instead of having all of them, as the Smart Pillow does. They offer a Tunes Smart Pillow, a Tracker Smart Pillow, and a Snore Smart Pillow. These pillows also offer access to sleep tracking and snore technology, but you’ll have to pay for a membership to access them, which can add up to be more expensive than just buying the Smart Pillow in the first place.

We tested the Tunes Smart Pillow as well, and we thought it was fun and comfortable, but we’ll be mostly reviewing the ZEEQ Smart Pillow because it encompasses all of these features.
Let’s get a little more into detail about how it’s set up.
Price of the ZEEQ Smart Pillow
The ZEEQ Smart Pillow is one of the pricier pillows we’ve tested with an MSRP of $199.99. I know this seems like a lot, but if all of this smart technology is very interesting to you, then it may be worth it. And if you and your partner are fighting because of your snoring, consider that this pillow is cheaper than therapy.
You should know that they frequently offer discounts, though, that should bring it down a bit. Click here to see current offers on REM-Fit.com for the ZEEQ Smart Pillow and others.
Construction and Feel
This pillow has a lot going on on the inside. We’re going to explain this going from the outside, in. Wrapping up this pillow is a removable tencel cover that’s soft and hypoallergenic. If you read the fine print, the tencel cover is 40% lyocell from tencel, and 60% polyester. The company says that you can use this as your pillow cover, but we think it’s ugly, so we put our own pillowcase on top. Under the tencel cover is the “outer shell,” which is made of polyester.

Filling this pillow is their “comfort fill,” which is essentially memory foam. Remember that this is adjustable, so you can take some out to make it softer, or pack it in to firm it up. Hidden within the foam are eight speakers, two adjustable vibration motors (to curb snoring or function as a morning alarm), a microphone (to hear if you’re snoring and voice commands), and binaural audio wave technology.

Altogether, this pillow is 21 inches in length, 27 inches in width, and up to five inches in depth. Just to slightly annoy you, this pillow is one inch out of dimension for a standard pillow, so you may have to get larger pillow cases for it.
Who is This Pillow Best For?
Like we said, this is an adjustable pillow. This means you can either add or remove the memory foam filling for your desired loft and firmness level. This makes it a good option for any body type: petite, average, or larger individuals.

Keep in mind that if you’re a stomach sleeper, this pillow will be too thick for you to use comfortably.

ZEEQ Smart Pillow Testing
While we think the concept of this pillow is very interesting and innovative, we found the pillow to be more of a hassle than we expected. It took us a week with support just to get it working properly, and then there was a learning curve on how to use it properly. We also found that it would stop tracking our sleep if we leaned up in bed or went to the bathroom in the middle of the night, or whatever else. This translated into it recording our sleep about ⅔ of the time, or saying we only slept for 15 minutes that night.

We also found that it would sometimes randomly vibrate in the middle of the night, even if no one was snoring. And when it vibrated to snoring, it would just wake us up, which didn’t help with the snoring problem and caused us to lose sleep.
ZEEQ Smart Pillow Verdict
Overall, this is a comfortable memory foam pillow, but it has some major flaws. We love the speakers in it, so we can listen to calming music, an audiobook, or white noise as we fall asleep. Besides that, we encountered too many technical difficulties and glitches to fully enjoy what this pillow has to offer.
We’d recommend the Tunes Pillow if you don’t mind the price, but think the Smart Pillow needs a bit of work to be perfect.

REM-Fit sent it to us so that we could test and review it.
REM-Fit’s pillows are manufactured in China. But just so you know, the covers’ Tencel fabric is OEKO-TEX certified and the pillows as a whole are apparently ERGOCERT-approved.
Unfortunately no, they do not offer separate pillow covers. You will have to use another pillow case.
Yes, if you initiate the return process within their 30-day trial window, you can reach out to customer service for a refund excluding delivery costs.
Yes, considering the fact that you’re able to adjust the pillow’s loft by removing or adding memory foam fill.
