We cover everything you need to know about the Molecule mattress-in-a-box, including shipping, returns, trial period and warranty. We also discuss how you can save money on the Molecule bed by using a discount code.
Molecule is a thick, all-foam bed-in-a-box that has a soft, neutral-foam feel. Overall, we think it’s a great mattress for back, stomach and combo sleepers. The company counts Tom Brady and Russell Wilson as its ambassadors.
Molecule ships their mattresses to your home for free, rolled up and compressed in a box. This means that it’s up to you to unbox and set up your new bed. It’s recommended that you allow the Molecule up to 72 hours to take shape before sleeping on it. It’s up to you to recycle or donate your old mattress. Shipping is available to all 50 United States. International shipping is currently unavailable. Contact Molecule if you have any questions about potential shipping charges to Alaska and Hawaii.
Molecule backs their mattresses with a 100-night risk-free trial period. The company requires that you sleep on your bed for 30 nights before requesting a return. If you decide the mattress isn’t the right fit for you, just call or email the company and they will send someone to remove it for you. A full refund will be issued once removal has been confirmed. Be sure to read Amazon’s return policy if you purchase your Molecule mattress through Amazon.com because their policies may be different.
Molecule mattresses come with a Lifetime warranty that covers indentations greater than 1”, splits in the foam that happened with proper use of the bed, and manufacturing issues with the cover’s zipper or fabric. Comfort preference, normal increase in softness over time, and abuse to the bed are not covered.
The MSRPs for Molecule mattresses are slightly above average for the bed-in-a-box industry.
Molecule mattresses are made in the USA. The foams inside the bed are all CertiPUR certified, meaning they are free from any harmful chemicals or toxins.
Molecule follows industry standards in terms of mattresses sizes and dimensions. Really, the only difference is the Molecule beds are about 2″ thicker than the average bed-in-a-box.
You can buy a Molecule mattress through the company’s official website. You can also get the bed from Amazon. As of the date of this post, the mattress is not offered in any retail locations like Mattress Firm, Sears, etc.
The online mattress industry offers deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Be sure to check out the Molecule website during that time because you could end up saving some money on a new bed. It wouldn’t surprise us if Molecule offers $200 or more off their beds around the holiday season.
The days leading up to and after the 4th of July are another time to get a new bed at a discounted price. Don’t forget to take a look at the Molecule website to see what kind of sale they are offering. Chances are the company will be offering a major discount around Fourth of July. Our best guess would be in the $200-$250 range.
Amazon often matches the prices on the Molecule website. A perk to buying through Amazon is that they offer additional discounts throughout the year. Mark your calendar for their annual Prime Day sale and check out their Deals of the Day page for daily discounts. Make sure you read Amazon’s company policies because they may be different than through the Molecule site.
